This past Wednesday was National Taco Day: a celebration of (just one of) our favorite handheld foods. If it were up to us, National Taco Day would be every day. So, this weekend, we encourage you to try one of our favorite taco recipes to date: J. Kenji Lopez’s Better than Chipotle Barbacoa. We originally shared this recipe with you in our Cinco de Mayo Supper Club post back in May.

It’s not your everyday ground beef with taco seasoning (although, we all know there’s a time and place for that), but if you’re willing to invest time and get a little adventurous with ingredients, we promise it’ll pay off! The meat is flavorful, tender, and delicious; we paired it with fresh onion, tomato, limes, and cilantro – and if you’re feeling really ambitious, try the homemade tortilla recipe, too!
